Benefits of Rosehip Seed Oil

Hydrates

Rosehip oil keeps your skin super hydrated as it contains a wealth of essential fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acids. These fatty acids increase the strength of the skin cell wall, which helps cells hold on to water. This oil has the power to penetrate deep within the skin layers where all the natural benefits mentioned above can work their magic.

Moisturizes

As mentioned, Rosehip Seed oil is an excellent natural moisturizer for all skin types. It will lock in your skin’s natural hydration. Thus, it keeps your skin moisturized for long hours.

Boosts Collagen Formation

Rosehip oil enhances your collagen production with Vitamins A and C. It inhibits enzymes that break down collagen which will increase skin elasticity and firmness.

Exfoliates and Brightens Skin Rosehip Oil by Christina Moss Naturals

Rosehip oil encourages cell turnover using Vitamin A or retinol. Similarly, Vitamin C also assists in cell regeneration, along with boosting overall radiance. In this way, Rosehip oil helps reduce dullness, giving you glowing skin.

Reduces Inflammation

Because it is rich in both polyphenols and anthocyanin, Rosehip Seed Oil may reduce inflammation, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Likewise, it contains Vitamin E, an antioxidant famous for its anti-inflammatory effects.

Reduces Scars And Fine Lines

With these antioxidants and fatty acids, Rosehip Seed oil is effective in treating wounds and scars. It enhances the natural process of cell regeneration, reducing spots and fine lines. In this way, this oil helps you heal quickly with less chance of leaving scars.

Combats Acne

Rosehip oil can be helpful for acne-prone skin. It has both anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that can fight acne. Consult your dermatologist before using this to treat acne.

Reduces Hyperpigmentation

The rich amount of Vitamin A, including retinoids in Rosehip oil can help reduce hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration. Likewise, it contains melanin-reducing properties.

Brightens your Skin

Rosehip oil lightens your skin tone with lycopene and beta carotene. These compounds help brighten up your skin, contributing to a more beautiful and even skin tone.

How to Use It?

Since rosehip seed oil is a dry oil, we suggest using it each night at the end of your skincare routine following all your water-based products.

Rosehip oil is useful as a carrier oil (a base oil) for essential oils. So, use rosehip oil on its own, or add in a few drops of essential oil. You can also add some this is oil to your favorite moisturizer. To do that, simply combine the two in a separate bowl, mix and apply to the skin.

Apply the rosehip oil once or twice a day, just like you would use moisturizer. However, you may need to contact your health care provider to confirm the dosage necessary to treat wounds or skin conditions like eczema.

Storing Instructions

Rosehip oil is a cold-pressed oil. That means no chemicals were used to extract the oil from the rose hips. We package our fresh, cold-pressed Rosehip oil in amber glass jars. These help shield the product from exposure to light. We chose glass instead of plastic to help ensure purity. Keep this product fresh by storing it in a cool dry location with the cap tightly sealed. For optimum freshness and increased shelf life, consider storing it in a cosmetic refrigerator.
